This young swedish artist delivers 2 pieces ("Unison" and "Cirkulation") divided into 5 tracks of tremendous and hypnotic ambient music. The music of Staffan Wessman takes all the time it needs to totally fulfill and unveils Staffan's exceptional skills for composing sound architectures. With a very warm and organic sound, delicate and subtle inserts of "concrete" sounds, he succeeds in captivating the listener and mantaining his attention until he provokes a shift in the arrangements of sounds. While "Unison" the first piece is built upon dense and magnificent sound textures expanding to fill the auditive space, the second one, "Cirkulation" is based on fragile and delicate patterns overlapping in time, creating mesmerizing polyrythmic constructions reminding us of Steve Reich early works for tape ("Come Out", "It's gonna rain"....).

Pep: in charge of N-REC's visual identity, french artist Pep has also released techno tracks on european labels Tresor and Anacron. His track is an outstanding musical piece, both delicate and powerful.
Sogar and Sébastien Roux: N-REC welcomes an exclusive collaboration between these two Paris-based musicians: Jurgen Heckel aka Sogar (12k, List) and Sébastien Roux (12k, Apestaartje). Sébastien is also member of the duo Heller.
E-di: Eddie Ladoire is a young french musician. He is also a member of Heller, but delivers a much more powerful and intense music with his solo project.
COH: russian composer Ivan Pavlov (Mego, Raster-Noton, Source Research, Eskaton, Wavetrap) provides an amazing 12 minutes long piece, dealing with air travels, slumber and nightmares.
Cylens: Benoît Courribet is the man behind N-REC. His track on this compilation mixes highly synthetic textures and sounds with structures and editing in the tradition of electroacoustic music.
JPE: Juan-Pablo Espinoza ia an argentinian electroacoustic composer. His track combines ultra-minimal sounds and structures with concrete sounds, micro-editing and powerful noise outbursts.
Main: it's a honour to present a track by Robert Hampson (Tigerbeat 6, Kraak....). His music has influenced most of today ambient music composers. On this piece he succeds in a creating a mesmerizing hybryd of electroacoustic and ambient music.
Plimplim: young french musician Jerome Marchand explores a broad aspect of electronic music, heading towards ambient, bleep-hop or clicks, mixing sampled sounds "from the real" and digital synthesis.
Mokira: swedish musician Andreas Tilliander (Raster-Noton, Mille Plateaux...) has proven with a few albums that he is one of today most talented musician both versatile and prolific.
Fabriquedecouleurs: Emmanuel Allard explores audibility extremes. He proposes a strange and intriguing lullaby. Emmanuel also runs the french label Dorodine.
Frédéric Nogray: sound artist Nogray has an obsession for repeating patterns, slow variations and continuous processes. Most of his musical works are based on improvisations.
