Wrk è l'etichetta gestita da Minoru Sato (m/s) e Toshiya Tsunoda. Un approccio concettuale ai fenomeni audio di percezione/trasmissione del suono è la caratteristica principale dei lavori pubblicati, quasi sempre derivanti da installazioni ed esperimenti di fisica acustica. I cd sono edizioni limitate di non facile reperibilità.

A closed space such as a room or a vessel has a specific sound according to the material it is made of and its geometric form. This sound is called Natural Resonant Frequencies. I'm using several glass tubes / glass vases as same geometric chambers. I then transport the sound from one of the chambers to another, over and over again. As a result, the natural resonant frequencies are emphasized.
When the sound is returned to the first one -i.e. making systematic feedback, only the stable frequencies resound. I made an installation by this way. When the sound returns through the air, the complex feedback reacts on various factors - for instance a relation between loudness on each chambers, a locational relation between audiences and chambers and so on. My compositions and live installation are derived from these factors.

The WrK label presents a solo piece from both Hiroyuki Iida and Atsushi Tominaga as well as a collaborative piece. Iida's solo piece "BPM 60" amplifies two quartz watches using the electro magnetic interference caused by two loop antennas, producing a noxious hypnosis of clattered rhythms.
Tominaga's "050" piece is a recording of bass rumbles which occurred when he recorded the sound of boiling water using speakers as the microphone.
"Grainness" - the collaboration between the two - is a performative piece for a vibrating plate glass and a steel pipe.

WrK is a label, which is organized and managed by Minoru Sato (m/s) and Toshiya Tsunoda, in order to support specific art works by members who belong to this label. There is five artists as members: m/s, toshiya tsunoda, jio shimizu, hiroyuki iida, atsushi tominaga. WrK has attached importance to conceptual attitude that each member gives consideration to phenomena as shift-passage in time-space and to reception-perception of the phenomena. As a result, WrK activity is to organize and to distribute various style art works which become exhibition, live-installation, performance, multiple-work, study, paper and so on, to realize from this consideration.
